We started Lone Star Cremation to provide an alternative to the traditional funeral home arrangement process — offering an affordable, convenient, and dignified approach to cremation services for DFW families.

Our Story

The First Online Cremation Provider in DFW

Lone Star Cremation was founded in 2004 by Roy Kiser, a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Certified Crematory Operator with over three decades of experience in the funeral service industry. Roy's vision was simple — give families a better, more transparent way to arrange cremation without the pressure, confusion, or inflated costs of traditional funeral homes.

We were the first Dallas–Fort Worth cremation provider to offer fully online arrangements, and we have proudly served thousands of North Texas families ever since. We operate as Kiser Undertakings, a licensed Texas funeral establishment (TFSC Lic #4372), and every cremation is performed at a licensed Texas crematory in full compliance with state law.

Roy Kiser

Roy is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of Texas, as well as a Pre-Need Insurance Agent and Certified Crematory Operator. He holds degrees from Baylor University and the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. As the owner of Lone Star Cremation, Roy has been actively engaged in the funeral service industry since 1990.
